Which popular assumptions are you challenging?

A list of popular assumptions that I am not prepared to simply accept would include the following:

  • That time exists
  • That 'progress' occurs in the direction we imagine
  • That an either/or logic applies
  • That death is real
  • That human beings are superior to other life forms
  • That I or my friends, family, ethnicity, are more important than 'others' or 'outsiders'
  • That enlightenment is as people suppose
  • That thinking is to our advantage
  • That adults know more than children
  • That life exists 'here' but not 'there'
